| I have been a juried member of Sheltowee Artisians for 4 years
and sell at several Kentucky craft shows each year.
I have been sewing for as long as I can remember. I enjoy
making dresses for other peoples little girls since
I have none of my own. When I found the rug hooking,
I was hooked with the first rug.
My dresses, in a classic style, are sleeveless, with a
slightly raised bodice and a full gathered skirt.
Sizes 1, 2, and 3 have 3 buttons on the
back with a opening into the skirt.
Sizes 4,5,6 and 7 have a 4" opening in the back
with one button and a loop at the back neck.
My rugs are made by locker hooking. Most are made from cottons,
so they are machine washable - dryable. A 30" x 36" rug takes
12 yards of fabric and up to 20 hours to make.
My purses are locker hooked like the rugs. I just make smaller
pieces and then sew them together. The strap is crocheted. Purses are
lined with matching fabric and have pockets on the front and back.
